When Dazhon Darien walked into Baltimore County Circuit Court on Monday, he was immediately put in handcuffs.

The former Pikesville High School athletic director, who stands accused of impersonating his principal with artificial intelligence, was arrested on a federal warrant, said defense attorney, Jasmine Hope.

Baltimore County Circuit Judge Jan Marshall Alexander recessed court to give Hope time to talk to her client.

Information on the federal case was not immediately available.

The arrest happened Monday morning during a motions hearing. Darien’s trial is scheduled to start on Tuesday.

Darien was charged in Circuit Court with disturbing school operations, retaliating against a witness, stalking and related offenses.
