What to look for

Symptoms of mycoplasma pneumonia include:

  • cough
  • a fever that comes and goes
  • fatigue
  • headache
  • sore throat
  • lack of appetite

If your child has been diagnosed with pneumonia, seek additional medical help if you notice these symptoms:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Dehydration
  • A high fever
  • No improvement in symptoms within 48 hours of starting antibiotics
